Most of the hikers will have participated in a previous hike at Pawtuckaway State Park on May 13. For Part 2 of the Adventure Hikes we will go to Cardigan Lodge. Cardigan Lodge is in a beautiful, remote area next to Mount Cardigan State Forest. The first day we will meet at Portsmouth Senior Activity Center at 8:45 AM. We will have lunch when we arrive, then do an easy hike, and later participate in an activity offered by an on-site naturalist. We will spend the night at Cardigan Lodge. Rooming will be with 2-3 individuals in lower-level bunks. Sheets and towels are provided, along with hot showers. On June 26 we will have hike options that can be discussed as a group the night before. The naturalist will be available if anyone just wants to stay around the lodge and do a nature walk. After our day’s activity, we will prepare to come back home in the van. This should be a fun excursion for everyone.

Note: All individuals who already registered for the May 13 hike will be automatically registered. Others should register. Cancellations will be refunded up to 14 days before the hike

Transportation cost: For those going in the van: $7.00 in cash upon arrival. Portsmouth Senior Activity Center has a 13-seat van which will be the primary source of transportation for the group. Please note in your comments whether you are taking the van or your own vehicle.
