The July edition of our newsletter, The Village Vibe, is out! Please click here to read it online, or click below to open the PDF version.

We have a virtual piano bar via Zoom planned for August 6th with Bob Mackasek, professional musician and recent newcomer to the Seacoast . Please CLICK HERE for details!

The Program and Events team has held several other video get-togethers via Zoom. So far we have met for a virtual happy hour, shared our travel experiences with a virtual show and tell, and shared some of our favorite books. Stay tuned and join in the fun!

We have been working behind the scenes to make sure that we will be able to offer face-to-face activities and services once it is safe to do so.

A small group of volunteers has been conducting phone check-ins to members. Sometimes a friendly voice on the other end of the line can be reassuring.

Have you completed the US Census for your household? The U.S. Census not only determines representation in government but generates data that informs the distribution of close to $900 billion in federal funding for everything from road construction to student loans to heating assistance for struggling families.

Seacoast Village Project is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization registered in the State of New Hampshire

Like so many non-profit organizations, we are quickly pivoting, making adjustments to meet changing needs and constraints. During this time of social isolation, SVP is offering a limited “Community Support Membership” to residents over 50 in the NH Seacoast communities (Portsmouth, Exeter and surrounding towns). This introductory service package includes regular phone check-ins and local errands (non-contact delivery). SVP volunteers are available to run errands so that members do not need to leave their homes. In order to preserve social distancing requirements, our trusted SVP volunteers will not enter people’s homes.

We are pleased to announce that we will be offering free community community support memberships through the end of 2020. If you are interested in receiving services or in volunteering, we’d love to connect.  Just click on the link above to fill out our interest form and someone will get back to you.  You can also connect by sending us an email at or by calling (603) 610-8430.

Talk to us!  Let us know if you would like to have us check in with you.  In addition to making us both feel good, it will help us test our volunteer connection system. E-mail us at

Refer friends and neighbors to this website where we offer helpful information and available resources during this pandemic.

Specifically reach out to older adults in your community who might need help with grocery or pharmacy pickups—or a friendly phone check in.

Consider volunteering—we can match your interests with our specific needs. Just click on the “Interest Form” at the top of this page.

If you see something, share something!  Friend us on our Facebook page and post there.  We will have volunteers curating your ideas (and the hundreds of e-mails we’re getting from local resources trying to pitch in) and will post them on our website, so they don’t get lost in the shuffle.

Lighten us up!  Facebook is also a great place to share humor and good news.  Some of my favorites have been the sing-out in Boston (Sweet Caroline, of course). And the take on this whole thing from the point of view of pets. My humor repertoire ls limited - we could all use a smile or story to share.

Finally, we always welcome a donation—whatever you feel moved to give.  We’ll put it to good use.  Please click here to donate. If you prefer to write a check, please send it to:
