For better descriptions and to subscribe to newsletters click here. (Do NOT fill in phone numbers on the form!) Music has suspended their newsletter and Theatre-Dance may have to do the same because of current staff cuts.
Where is PCAC and where do I park?
PCAC is located on Academic Way which runs from Mill Rd at the east edge of campus to a circle in front of Morse Hall. PCAC main entrance is on your right shortly before the circle. (See Campus Maps) On the UNH-Parking-Map visitor lots are in blue. All are “pay and display,” and require a smart phone to download a parking app or scan a QR code. Lots have different time limits on parking and hours active. Click here for hours and rates.
Additional parking
In B lot, entering from Academic Way, on the right are several spaces with a pay kiosk. These are in use M-F, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., 2 hr maximum parking time. Outside of those hours, parking is free anywhere in B lot. The same applies to the parking meters along both sides of Academic Way. These meters and B lot are the closest to PCAC. The closest Visitor Lot is on College Rd opposite the back of Morse.
Off campus parking on Faculty Rd.: Parking spaces are on one side of Faculty Rd., which joins Mill Rd, shortly past the shopping plaza (coming from Main St.) No parking weekdays 9-6 and no overnight during winter parking ban. Otherwise free.
Handicap access and parking to PCAC: Handicap parking spots on Academic Way are on the left opposite the elevator tower, and on the left near the plaza for the theatres.
The Dimond Library
The main entrance, with ramp, is off Main St. behind Thompson Hall. You enter on the 3rd floor; elevators go to all floors. Any NH resident can get a Community Borrowers card at the circulation desk. Bring proof of residency. This card allows check-out of materials, such as books, CDs, videos, and music scores, and allows use of wi-fi. Not included is access to data bases, online books/articles, and inter-library loan. However, if you are using a library computer, you often can get access (and perhaps on your own device while in the library.) The website has additional information.
There are many reading rooms, desks, and comfortable chairs throughout the library. Some areas are designated as “Quiet”—no talking allowed—while in others quiet talking is allowed for group academic work.
The closest parking is in Thompson Hall lot, which unfortunately has a one-hour limit. The Visitor Lots at Campus Crossing off Mill Rd or on College Rd. opposite the back of Morse Hall, along with the parking for PCAC, are other possibilities. Thompson lot has a few handicap spots and 5 spots are behind Conant, next to and below the Library. The hours of the library and of Zach’s café, on the mezzanine, change. On the website, click on “About Us” for their current hours and for those of the other libraries on campus.
