This is part of a 2-part hike excursion series that involves members of Seacoast Village Project and Portsmouth Senior Activity Center members. The first hike will take place at Pawtuckaway State Park. Please note the trailhead entrance that we are using. We will hike North MT which is approximately 3.5 miles. We will see varied scenery with one short, steep ascent and a few rock scrambles. Along the way we will share some historical information about the area, as well as spring woodland observations. Our hike will be at a slow, moderate pace, with occasional short breaks and a leisurely lunch packed by each hiker. Individuals who join this hike should be able to do the mileage and hike on varied terrain.

It is important that all hikers participant in a ZOOM meeting on April 11 from 5:00-6:00pm. The Zoom link and a backpack hiking list will be emailed to registrants. Each person will be provided a liability waiver to sign & will be asked for emergency contact information.

Transportation: PSAC has a 13 -seat van. Cost is $7 cash when boarding at PSAC. Additional hikers should carpool. Please answer the carpool question in the registration, and comment "Van" or "Car" in your registration.

*This hike will provide an opportunity to see how everyone does and to get prepared for going to Part 2: Cardigan Mt., which will include an overnight at Cardigan Lodge in Alexandria, NH, and hike(s) at Cardigan Mt. This is planned for June 25-26. A separate registration will be required for this in May.*

Hike Leaders: Kathy Rockwood, LuAnn Laquerre, and Patty Anderson are AMC hike leaders who have gone through Wilderness First Aid. Depending on the number of hikers, we may have one additional hike leader.

PSAC Members: PSAC will handle their members’ liability waivers and emergency contact information separately.
